iSure Insurance Brokers was founded first as A1 Insurance Group in 1984 by Gustavo Fernandez Sr. A Vietnam veteran with a deep understanding of service to his country, Gus Sr. built an enviable business from the very start. Because of the agency's solid growth, A1 Insurance Group was able to attain direct contracts with the most prestigious names in the Insurance Industry - including being recognized as the largest producer for Progressive Auto Insurance in Florida for many years running. The walls of the entry to iSure's offices are full of plaques recognizing the volume of business done as well as years of service to the community.
A Father's dream finds fulfillment in his sons.
With a stellar business building every year, it was only fitting that the family feel the agency be passed on from year to year with no visible end in sight. Brought up around the business, both of Gustavo's sons, Javier and Gustavo Jr. have developed their own passion for the agency and brought their talents to bear on it's continued growth and development. Javier serves as the Agency Principal, having served in that capacity since 2002. Javier has also served on the Board of Directors of the Latin American Association of Insurance Agencies, was the Past President of the Miami Young Agents and currently serves on the Board of the Independent Insurance Agents of South Florida. Gustavo, a licensed 220 Agent as well as a 1999 graduate of Florida State Law School and practicing attorney joined forces with iSure in 2008 and brings a unique set of skills and perspective to the agency's leadership team.
